RUSSIAN RED
Russian Red is the stage name for Lourdes Hernández, a singer-songwriter based in Madrid, Spain. Her beautifully crafted, minimal songs beam delicate folk harmonies and lustrous vocals. The band was originally formed in 2007, by Lourdes and Brian Hunt, with whom she had previously recorded some songs, and who will help her recording her first album. Before it was released, they split up. The name of the band comes from a lipstick color Lourdes frequently uses.
On April 1st 2008 she released her debut album, I Love Your Glasses, on Eureka Discos. It’s formed by 12 tracks, including “Another mind” (included in the OST from the film El rey de la montaña), “Cigarettes” (included in the OST from the film Camino) and “Nice Thick Feathers” (included in a Häagen Dazs TV commercial).
